Privacy

This policy explains what countyoffortune.wiki collects, why it is collected and how you can exercise your privacy choices. It applies to this website only, not to Steam, Discord, Reddit or any other third-party service.

Who we are

County of Fortune Wiki is an independent fan site. For privacy questions or data requests, contact [email protected]. The site is served through Cloudflare Pages.

What data we collect

  • Server logs. Cloudflare may process your IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, referrer and timestamp to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are generated by the hosting provider, not by a marketing tracker.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-0048GE4DBQ) to understand which pages and guides are useful. Google may collect page views, approximate location, device and browser information, referral source and interaction events, and may set first-party analytics cookies.
  • Email. If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it to reply and, where relevant, to correct the site.
  • Search. Site search is powered by Pagefind and runs against a static index. Your search terms are not sent to us or stored in a database.

What we do not collect

  • We do not require an account to read the site.
  • We do not run advertising, affiliate tracking or sell personal data.
  • We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Cookies

Cloudflare may set security-related cookies or use local storage to protect the site and remember preferences. Google Analytics may set first-party analytics cookies, typically _ga and _ga_<container-id>, to distinguish sessions and measure usage. We do not use advertising or personalisation cookies.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to read the site. Third-party sites linked from our pages (Steam, Discord, Reddit, YouTube, Google) may set their own cookies after you visit them.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google. It helps us see which pages are visited, how visitors find the site and which guides are most useful. We do not use it to identify individual readers or to serve advertising.

Google processes analytics data under its own terms. For details, read Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can also limit analytics through your browser’s cookie controls or a content blocker.

Third-party links

We link to Steam, the official Nepos Games site, Discord, Reddit, YouTube, Google and other game stores. Once you follow an external link, the destination’s privacy policy applies. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their data practices.

How long we keep data

Hosting logs are retained according to Cloudflare’s standard retention and security practices. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve the request and maintain a record of corrections. You can ask us to delete your email at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, or to object to processing. To make a request, email [email protected] with enough information for us to identify the relevant correspondence. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

International transfers

The site is delivered through a global content network. Cloudflare may process request data in countries outside your own as part of that delivery. Google Analytics is also operated by a global provider and may process analytics data outside your country. Cloudflare’s and Google’s own safeguards and data processing terms apply to those transfers.

Changes to this policy

If we add analytics, advertising or a contact form, we will update this policy and the “last updated” date before the change takes effect. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
